An Introduction to Shamanism

Shamanism is an earth/nature-based spiritual path found in many indigenous as well as modern traditions around the world.  Throughout history the shaman was someone who, within their tribe or community, played many roles: healer, diviner, storyteller, counselor, priest, leader.  As such, Shamans have been able to guide and heal their communities through their connection with spirits of the land, their skill in tracking problematic energies and patterns, and their abilities to travel between the spirit realms.  Presently, there has been a resurgence of interest for Shamanism, leading many people onto a path of healing and growth through reclaiming their lives on a physical, emotional, and spiritual level.

If you are new to Shamanism, or simply want to learn more about it, this series will help you cultivate an understanding of a Shamanic worldview.  In this series we will explore and discuss the various commonalities amongst Shamanic traditions from around the world, and demonstrate simple ways in which you may incorporate Shamanic practices and skills into your own spiritual practices and everyday lives.

$28/class; $3 discount if paid in cash.  If the series is paid in full before the start of the second class, the price is $123.00 ($120.00 cash).

Hecate Ritual with the Ced Tradition

Please join us for a Hecate Moon Ritual!
Saturday, Sept 1st
Presented by the Ced Tradition.

Saturday 1st Sept 8pm, come join with us for the last quarter Moon as we celebrate and work with Hecate in a great traditional witchcraft community Ritual! Hecate is probably one of the most notorious Witch Goddesses worked with today! She is a powerful Goddess of Crossroads, Magic and Witchery, just to mention a few of her attributes! Though fun, this will likely be a high-powered working, so please also bring a dish to share for the potluck social gathering after the Ritual.

Out of respect to us, please abide by the Law: people need to be over 21 to drink. Adults who are over 21 are asked to please be adult in their drinking approach and drink responsibly so we all get to have some fun.
We gather at 7:30pm for an 8pm Rite!
$10 Donation requested.

2018 Lammas Ritual with Reclaiming LA

2018 Lammas Ritual with Reclaiming LA

Lughnasadh, also called Lammas, marks the beginning of the harvest season. We gather to celebrate bright summer days (soon coming to an end), and begin reaping what we’ve sown from the past few months. Join us to connect with the magic of this special season & with beloved community, to give thanks and to welcome abundance into our lives.

This Lughnasadh, we will be working with Lugh and the Morrigan.

Our ritual intention is: We reclaim our sovereignty as activists to illuminate our collective power and weave change.

To support this intention and build our community of activists, we will be building our altar with calls to action, such as flyers or pamphlets, that represent the causes our community members are passionate about. We invite you to bring one such call to action (all causes are welcome so long as they are in the spirit of Reclaiming’s Principles of Unity). After they are imbued with magical energy from our ritual, we will keep them on the altar throughout the potluck and post pictures of them to social media afterwards so that other interested community members have the opportunity to get involved.
