Griffin Ced
Griffin Ced, made in Britain with mixed American (father) and British (mother) parts, and now the brand manager at The Green Man in Burbank, has been actively invested in building Pagan Community for three decades. In Los Angeles, he was a key participant and architect of rituals and events at Raven’s Flight in the late 90’s, where he introduced Traditional Witchcraft as an alternative to Wicca, which was the norm in LA back then. (At the time, he was told it would never catch on - clearly, prophecy is not everyone’s gift.) Griffin was initiated into Traditional Witchcraft in Essex back in 1975, and after years in the Theatre Arts in Norway, he moved to Los Angeles to work in the entertainment industry. After moving to America, he raised a Coven in the Witch-stream Line of Ced, of which he is the Witch-Father.
Over the past 30 years, he has observed the fast growth of Traditional Witchcraft in all its facets spreading within the larger Pagan Community, where it holds a large role in redefining what it means to be both a Witch and member of the Pagan Community. As the identity of the Pagan Community shifts and evolves towards its own self-defined expression, and as we see a huge increase in diversity of belief and practice within our ranks, there is an enormous need for leadership that understands the nature of this burgeoning revolution of spiritual seekers. Defining who we are and securing our future is the work of our religious leaders. In honoring the vast diversity of Religious belief and practice, Griffin reminds us that our unity lies not in sameness, but in the shared spirit that binds us together as a global Community.
