What the Futhark?! -Runes series

A 9-week series on the Elder Futhark, presented by Branden.

In this series we will journey with the Language of Secrets: the Runes. Come take a trip through Yggdrasil (the world tree) and find the knowledge that runs through its body and into our lives. We will explore in class how the Runes bloom inspiration and create effects within our life.

This class is designed to be part history/ part inner Journey to bring the Runes into our modern lives. It will bring forward intuitive journeys, years of dedication, and hopefully inspire learning within the psychic realms from Odin and others.

This class is for those who are new to the Runes and those who are already users/readers as we will go over advanced concepts in bind Runes.

Now a Hybrid series starting Feb 15 and running 9-weeks to April 12. Limited seats in-person, unlimited seating via zoom. As this is cumulative subject matter, class registration is offered for full series only. If you are an experienced practitioner with the runes, and are interested in dropping in for a single class or two, please contact the store.

Class Breakdown:

Week 1: Understanding the Journey of the classes. Opening the Runes through story with Odin and the Norns(Fates). Beginning with the Wyrd(Blank) Rune.

Week 2: Getting to meet Freya and Frey. Twins of Fertility and the beginning of life cycles. Starting with Fehu, Uruz. Thurisaz, and Ansuz.

Week 3: Continuing our Journey with the Twins, we discuss further developments within their Aett(cycle of life)

Week 4: Hail and Welcome Heimdall! What wisdom he brings to the Runes of Hagalaz, Nauthiz/Neid, Isa, and Jera

Week 5: Continuing our Journey with Heimdall and our Mid-Aett, we start the motion and self-creation with Eihwaz, Perthro, Algiz/Elhaz, and Sowilo.

Week 6: Now that we have a good rhythm and rhyme to our lives, let’s take our next steps in to our Runes of Justice and Truth. Let’s meet Tiwaz/Tyr, Berkano, Ehwaz, and Mannaz.

Week 7: This week will be about awakening to the Spiritual planes, we continue our journey with the God Tyr as he shows us the power of Laguz, Ing(waz), Dagaz, and Othala/Ethel.

Week 8: This will be the class we have some fun together and finally break in to learning how to read these crazy things called ‘Runes’. (Note: This class requires participants to have their own Rune sets).

Week 9: “What else can we do with the Runes now we have them, Branden?!” Great question!! Let’s have some fun and learn a thing or two about ‘Bind Runes’. This class will invite some familiar styles and some new styles. We will also be learning how to create our own bind runes through different methods.
