Mabon Vision Quest with Hecate!

As we are still in the wave of Covid 19 and cannot gather for our Sabbat Rituals, our solution to not being able to physically gather was to make our monthly Vision Quest do double duty! There is no restriction on gathering on the astral!

Mabon is one of those Sabbats where you get to see a great diversity in how it is observed. If we look to the older land practices, reflected in the older Religious observances, we find that this Sabbat coincides with the harvest taking of inventory so that a portion can be paid to the land owners to pay debts and set ones affairs in order. As a metaphor, this was carried over into the religious practices as setting oneself in order with regards to ones Gods. Doing penance or some kind of token act where necessary, in order to return ones relationship with life, family and ones Gods into a state of grace and blessedness. This is especially important as we now begin our journey into the time of the Mound, the Dark time of the Underworld, with Winter.

For a Witch this is an opportunity for us to reflect upon our year thus far. Where we fell short, where things happened that require us to make recognition and adjustment. It’s also a time for reflection upon relationships in all areas of our lives, sacred and mundane, that require taking stock of and make what changes are needed. This also relates to our relationships with our Gods, Ancestors and spirit allies. And with reflection, doing what is necessary to put our affairs and relationships back into order across the board!

As this Equinox time is a liminal point where the balance of Light & Dark meet, and we reflect and evaluate the landscape in order to find the right action, it is very much a kind of crossroads of spirit event where we bring all things into a central pivot point of inventory and change. Coming to the crossroads and embracing the moment is one process. But to find the right action that propels us further into the next chapter of our lives, moving onwards from the crossroads of adjustment is for many a very difficult thing to navigate and commit to! For this reason, it seemed a perfect time for us to invoke the aid of one of our most beloved of Witch Goddesses… Hecate!

With Hecate’s assistance, we hope people find a way to get a handle on all the craziness that has upended our lives and relationships in this crazy year of Covid and Political division! We hope people will find strength in taking on this most vital sabbat mystery, especially in this year where things have gotten so confusing and out of hand!

In general about these workings; These popular monthly Vision Quests, serve to help awaken the Sight and Gifts in the Seeker, offering a number of opportunities to connect with and receive gnostic insight into your Fate, Path and practices, both within your mundane world as well as your Magic.

*Please Note: as we are now doing these via video, no one is preparing your ritual space. These workings can be powerful and it is recommended you take some time to prepare a space to experience the work in, as well as some salty snack to ground with after the event.
