Traditional Astrology for Witches (PART 1):
An Introductory Crash-Course to Chart Analysis

**This 7 Week course is PART 1 of a 2-Part Series. It will be a Hybrid Series; to be presented on Zoom, and In-Person at The Green Man Store, Thursday Nights at 7:30pmPST, between 8/31/23 – 10/12//23. Students who have paid for the full series will have access to the class recordings through The Mighty Network for a limited time once the series has concluded.**

Astrology, the study of fate and fortune, is engrained into every culture around the world. And, as magical practitioners, astrology eventually comes into play whether or not you have genuine interest in it, or even try to avoid it. But as fascinating, and enriching, Astrology can be, it’s also very complex, and can be overwhelming for most people. And yet, many people have expressed to us that they not only want to learn more about it, but they want to learn how to utilize Astrology within their magical practice. Although, before anyone can start working with Astrology in a practical or magical way, it’s best to start with the basics. So, the goal here isn’t to train you to become an astrologer per se, but rather to provide you with the basic resources, understanding, and vocabulary that will support your magical workings and perspective in a fun and practical way.

This Class Series will be presented in two parts. For now, from 8/31/23 – 10/12//23, Part 1 of the series will explore the fundamental concepts of Traditional Western Astrology (which is based in Hellenistic, Medieval and Renaissance approaches to Astrology). It’s different from the Modern Astrology most of us know, but it is also the astrological perspective that planetary and astrological magic is rooted in. In this series we will explore the significations of the planets, signs and houses; how they relate to each other, to us, and our paradigm. We will also focus on astrological chart interpretation; by analyzing various snapshots of the celestial sky, learning how to recognize energetic patterns through various charts, tables, and techniques. In doing this we can create a good foundation in the understanding and practice of Astrology, before getting into the topics of Astrological & Planetary Magic, which we will explore in Part 2 of the series.

It is highly recommended to participate in this series, cumulatively, from start to finish. However, if you already happen to have a good foundation and understanding of Astrology (particularly Traditional Western Astrology), as a possible consideration, you may begin your participation at the start of Part 2 of the series.

Please come to class prepared with whatever items you need for notetaking. Throughout the series I will also be providing you with additional study materials (PDF Handouts, Charts, Tables and Worksheets, quizzes, and maybe a few video study guides.)
