Spring Equinox Ritual with Raven’s Cry ADF Druid Grove

The equinox comes, and with it, Spring. With it, the sun rises higher and higher, and the day becomes longer and longer than the night. The time has come when the frosts have passed, and our bodies and souls can absorb life-giving rays. Energy will be drawn by the Earth, which now pregnant, will soon release the first-fruits. Fresh after the winter sleep, surrendering to the rains and the sun, it becomes more beautiful day by day. Beloved with bright green, fresh and abundant. From the lively dance of life with Mother Earth new lives are created, which thanks to the work of people will bring us abundance. Nature and hope are revived, and happiness is born with it.

In Poland, the celebration of Jare Gody brings in the Spring, and we take our ritual inspiration from it. We will honor and relate to the Polish gods Perun, Mokosz, Zorya, Weles, and especially the god of Spring Jaryło, and we will symbolically leave winter behind, represented by a corn dolly of the goddess Marzanna thrown in the sacred fire.
