Public Ostara Ritual with Raven's Cry ADF Druid Grove

Join ADF's Raven's Cry Grove in a spring Jare Gody! RCG welcomes the spring with a Polish inspired neo-pagan druid ritual. We will celebrate the great god Yarilo, the slavic god of spring. Son of the god Perun, the king of the Polish gods and the god of thunder, Yarilo was kidnapped as a child and taken to the underworld where he was raised by his father's enemy, Veles, the king of the Polish underworld and the god of cattle. Polish tradition shows the underworld to be a land of evergreen, wet fields, a place of eternal spring. Eventually, Yarilo was able to travel, or hoditi (to walk), to the upperworld, bringing a return, or a roditi (to give birth to), of fertility and plenty to the land. Join us as we celebrate the turning of the great wheel of the druidic year with a Jar Gody in honor of Yarilo's hoditi to bring a roditi of abundance to our lands!

After ritual we all can enjoy potluck.
