Working with the Ogham and Tree Magic of Pre-Christian Ireland Presented by Murtagh anDoile

There are so many misconceptions concerning the Ogham, the Tree Alphabet, of Pre-Christian Ireland. Is it a divination system, a tree calendar, a musical system, a magical or mnemonic tool? Or more?
This class focuses on what we know of the Ogham, and how it can be applied as a system of magic. We will explore the approaches used by the Drui (druids) and the Fili (poets) in Old Irish Literature, as well as the kennings for the letters and the Ogham Tract. This is part of the “Keys to Tir-na-nOg” series focusing on contact and communication with Irish deity forms and spirits, in preparation of a forthcoming book.
Class fee is $23, discounted to $20 if paid in cash.
