Mari Lwyd Vision Quest with Griffin & Carrie – HYBRID

The Mari Lwyd is the Grey Mare in Wales, and is part of a broader UK custom of Hooded Animals & Hobby Horses. She is always accompanied by a large troupe of people, and is sometimes a feature at the Morris dances that mark the turning tides of the year. At Beltane, she is the wakened Dragon of the Land. At Samhain, she is the steed of Gwyn ap Nudd in the Wild Hunt. But she is best known for her role around Yule and New Year’s when she goes from house to house, singing to be let in and given festive food and drink.

Her association with the Hood and her presence at auspicious liminal points of the year, clearly indicate a deeper association for Witchcraft. As part of our tradition, The Temple of Ced honors her as the dragon that she is, together with her many mischievous associates. Join us as we Witches delve into the deeper mysteries of this Night Mare‘s realm.

In general about these workings; These popular monthly Vision Quests serve to help awaken the Sight and Gifts in the Seeker, offering a number of opportunities to connect with and receive gnostic insight into your Fate, Path and practices, both within your mundane world as well as your Magic. Please arrive at 7:30 for an 8pm start.

*IN PERSON PARTICIPANTS PLEASE NOTE: The temple space is no longer carpeted, and bringing a pillow or yoga blanket or something comfortable to sit on is recommended.*

Also, please bring a salty snack to share for after the Vision Quest.
These can be powerful workings, so we recommend that you please be prepared to stay and engage in the after-Quest discussion while you ground and perhaps receive clarity on any insights you may have received.
