Making soap at home can seem a bit overwhelming at first, but once you learn the basics, it is one of the simplest and most satisfying of arts, one that used to be part of every home. Make it part of yours–soap can be as simple as three common ingredients (well, four if you count water) or as complex as your garden, apothecary, and wallet will allow. In this class we will start with the basics, learning the foundational principles and practices of soapmaking. You’ll see the process from start to finish, and you’ll take home soap we make together in class, plus complete instructions on how to repeat our success in your own home. It is much, much easier than you think, and SO handy.
