The art of writing is as magical as it is ancient. In practice, the ideas and intentions we concoct are merely ideas until we spell them out and give them a form. Speech is the most common form we give to these thoughts, but the written text has the potential and power to give those thoughts a legacy. In a magical practice, the words which we write and scribble can be just a potent as the ritual speeches, songs or activities we express. And the methods and ingredients we intentionally use to craft our tools for writing, can give our intentions that extra magical edge.

In this workshop you will learn how to craft simple inks from scratch. We will discuss and explore different techniques and methods for working with different natural mediums, what to expect in managing various pigments and viscosities, and how to adapt magical correspondences into the final product. We will also demonstrate and teach you how to shape your own feather quills.

Because of the nature of the class material, this workshop will only be presented In-Person; and attendance capacity is limited.
