DESCRIPTION:Awakening the Witch Blood\n\nA Nine-Week Zoom Series with Griffin & Carrie\nStarts Oct 20th\, 2020\n\nStanding in Power\, Liberated & Independent with our Familiars\, Spirit Allies\, & Gods!\nHey guys\, so for the first time ever\, we are going to present the WitchBlood Series online in Zoom classes. Rolling over directly from the present Witch’s Broom & Mill\, this next series will need to be also done in a combination of class presentation and Vision Work\, so as to accommodate the practical personal work that is integral to the Witch Blood Series each year. With the way the Broom and Mill class has gone\, I would say this one is going to be a doozy! This present Broom class sure has been!\n\nFirst off: addressing the practicalities. In years prior\, this series has been one of our most popular\, yet we were restricted with class size due to physical space. This year with it being on Zoom\, we won’t have that problem! However\, and this is important\, it will still be restricted to only students that have taken classes with me & Carrie before\, and therefore has a basic familiarity with the type of Traditional Craft we work. A working knowledge of the basics of our cosmology concepts\, working structures\, tools and language are needed. As always\, we are more than open to any questions presented\, but in order to complete these rich and packed classes\, we need to not be using time on basic questions\, but rather those pertinent to the classes being presented. This series is an Initiate Level type class. Those who have taken classes with us know what we mean by this. We’re looking for students who are more experienced in the craft and are willing to take self-responsibility\, getting themselves into and out of the work in earnest. This is not a spectator class.\n\nEach year we have a theme that we are taking on\, and this year is no different. Having wrestled with the many directions we could go\, we have settled on a direction we think is going to be really exciting. Aside from the usual themes we cover having to do with the WitchBlood concept of the twice-born Witch\, we looked at the world and all that is going on and a clear focus came into view immediately.\nWorking with our Familiars\, Gods\, and Spirit Allies\, we will delve into what it means to be an Initiate Witch in today’s world. For those who haven’t engaged their Tribe from the other side\, we will take the time to initiate or deepen the relationship with their Familiar\, Spirit Allies\, and Gods. We will cover how as Witches today we can work with the vast array of Gods we have access to and perhaps find our Patron Gods\, putting these active relationships to work in order to hold ourselves in a place of power in this world that seeks to manipulate and control us.\n\nAs this series is based on students who know us and the kind of work and material we present\, this series will presume that everyone is on for the complete series\, though we can offer individual class purchases for those who find this easier financially. Those wishing to pay week to week must clear it with us ahead of time however. Also\, if anyone is in doubt as to whether they qualify for this series\, please contact Carrie or myself and we can discuss it. If you feel you have a case for joining this series\, without having done prior classes with us\, again\, contact us and we can discuss it.\n\nDuring the series\, we will be giving out material via the online classroom on the mighty network\, where we hope\, as a class\, to be a bit more active this time around.\n\nThis is the Initiate level class of the year that everyone looks forward to. SUMMARY:Saturnalia Rite & Topsy Turvy Feast of Misrule
DESCRIPTION:Join us in an absurd celebration! Fair is foul and foul is fair!As humor and especially absurdity and mockery are traditionally associated with this Saturnalian Misrule\, this should be the spirit of the Feast. To invert and turn the norm on its head\, this will be a Topsy Turvy Feast where men come dressed as women and women as men\, only with the mockery and humor overtone.\nThe feast is of course a potluck and feel free to bring-a-bottle. \nThe Saturnalia\, a seasonal celebration of this time of year for old Rome\, was of course sacred to Saturn and celebrated as an inversion or reversal of what was the norm. It was a festival of Misrule where Masters served the servants\, clothes were worn inside out/back to front\, and all kinds of misrule ran amok. In today’s Trad Craft this practice is still maintained in some traditions\, sometimes under the guise of the Lord of Misrule and a period of Misrule. In our Tradition\, we observe this time of Misrule as Dark Time; the Misrule element being worked more around the Yule period\, which is appropriate to the Saturnalia.A Celebration of Misrule for the Father of Boundaries and order may seem strange. But the idea is to celebrate the spirit of Misrule within a ritual celebration format in order to satiate that spirit so it has no desire or need to reach into our mundane life\, world or society\, and thereby leave Saturn empowered! This Misrule celebration also supports the liberty of our bound spirits of creativity. And freeing ourselves from the chains of social convention\, the clear sight and understanding or “insight” one may get by freeing oneself from the chains of the societal norm\, is where the practice brings to us its true Saturnalian Yule Gift. With this liberty\, one may find a new horizon and shift the path of one’s life or some practice\, element\, or habit one would like to be rid of. This is done by exposing it in a blunt and honest manner\, and using misrule and humor to gain another perspective\, thus disarming the monster and bringing about change. Perhaps this is the source of the New Year’s Resolution we still hold as a Yule/New Year’s practice.This event is a gift from The Green Man\, no donation requested\, please come share this rite with us!\n\n\n\nPlease drink responsibly! Though a lesser known God today\, Taranis also known as Taran in Britain\, was very important and well known in Gaul\, Britain and Ireland but was known also in other parts of Europe. Together with Esus and Toutatis\, Taranis made up a Sacred Triad of Gods\, where Taranis was the Sky God\, loosely equated with either Jupiter or Thor! \nFor many years Taran has been an extremely important Father type God to me\, with whom I have had a personal relationship and great deal of one on one Gnostic work & connection. My primary Father God is Cernunos often associated with the image on the Gundestrup Cauldron. Some years back Taran indicated that he was also associated with the Gundestrup Cauldron and was the Sky God brother to the earth God Cernunos. I have worked with him as such ever since and he has shown himself to be far more important to the Witch’s Legacy than one might think. \nTaranis is associated with the Thunder Bolt\, much like Jupiter or Zeus. One of his other Sacred Symbols was the Wheel which like the Chariot Wheel of Thor has Sun Wheel associations. I will present a short class on this figure based on my many years of working with him\, prior to the Vision Quest.
