DESCRIPTION:Witchcraft for the Autumn Tide\nPresented by Griffin Ced \nThis is a class on what it is to work the Craft as a British Traditional Witch during the seasonal tide of the Fall or Autumn. This is the fourth and final one of these presentations\, which have been hugely successful. We take a step back from individual seasonal observances and practices found within folklore & religion\, and view the season as a whole through the eyes of Traditional Witchcraft. This brings us deeper insights and understanding into the overall underlying qualities and themes that permeate through specific seasonal Tides. These deeper insights add to our understanding of the powers and spirit influences that are at work through the Autumn Tide events and Sabbats. The perspective and information gleaned from this approach also informs our workings with the Luna cycles and everyday Spell workings\, lending clear direction to our path and workings for the whole season. \nWith this class\, Witchcraft for the Autumn Tide\, I hope to present a fresh perspective as well as claim some old\, perhaps lost\, elements of both Witchcraft and Folklore practices. This Season covers the period from Lammas thru to Samhain\, where after the Tide shall turn again towards the threshold into the Dark time of the Mound and the Winter Tide. \nNow as we move towards Lammas we take upon us the Legacy of Stewardship and the observances that our Olde Arte of the Wise is founded upon. The Heretical Temple Mysteries of the Sacred Land tether us to the Spirits of the Otherworld and this is a time where all must be made aright\, and a deeper understanding of the work at hand opens our communion with the Gods and Spirits of Life opens and strengthens our bond and the potency of our Witchcraft. \nObserving the Seasonal Tides\, opening the doors of Legacy\, provokes spiritual growth and power when worked within the old Artes of cunning and witchery. SUMMARY:Vision Quest to Baphomet with Griffin
DESCRIPTION:A Vision Quest to Baphomet! \n*Note: prepayment required \nThis month I sat and wrestled with the tides\, threw the cards\, and received a reading that spoke to an upcoming energetic tide addressing our need to take stock of reality with regards to certain relationships in our life\, in the work place\, the family\, and elsewhere in general\, perhaps even as a tribe or a country where the rift of division grows. In some of our relationships there are perhaps some issues that have been put on hold. While not knowing how to move forward\, we allow ourselves to look the other way and hope time will settle things for us. As a rule this approach is not necessarily a bad one when things are complex and the solutions either radical or elusive. \nI looked for further clarity as to what was going on and found that on the 17th\, the very day of our upcoming Vision Quest\, Saturn Squares Neptune. It’s a T Square also involving Mercury. But the Neptune Saturn Square is a real collision of realities\, of a sort. Neptune–the timeless drifting dreamer on the cosmic seas–brings the mysterious qualities in life\, a potent element within the lives of seekers such as ourselves…though it also brings the potential for illusion\, which in the hands of witchery can be a quality for both good and bad. Saturn on the other hand is the primary quality of definition in the cosmos. Hard and fast reality\, fixed and set by boundaries of limitation. Saturn is the bringer of hard and cold reality\, while Neptune is the dreamer without bounds. These two squaring off has in the past given us some shake-ups and wake up calls! \nFrom what I read\, the general sense of the square is indeed a wake up call\, and a need to address the dreams and illusions and get real! Time to adult\, if you like. But to a Witch\, this is not as simple a call\, as our reality is to walk in two worlds and to be true to our spirit. We can not\, we must not choose between these two powerful forces\, but rather find a way to unite their contradictory natures to serve our crooked path. Our way of being is to belong to two worlds and function in them both\, and so we need to turn this stance towards the issues and relationships in our lives and find a solution that works for who we are. But how best to approach a Vision Quest to find the solution? \nWell this year the Vision Quests have been taking a slightly different track. It started with a Quest to Hecate’s Torches\, and then last month we encountered Sekhmet. DESCRIPTION:This month I am doing something I do not often do\, but perhaps should. A well overdue visitation to one of my dear and beloved Ancient Goddesses\, Sekmet! For some a first encounter\, to better know this powerful and amazing Titan Goddess. She is a Goddess of the Craft who all too often dwells in the shadows of other\, more familiar\, Goddesses. But this year we need to bring her from the shadows and stand proud by her side in the clear and cleansing light! \n  \nThe recent Tides of Fate seems to have been running some folks ragged. There is a sense of weariness hanging over us that just doesn’t fit with this time of year. A general wave of miscommunications\, irritation\, and weirdness fills the air\, like we’re caught in an extended period of Mercury retrograde. Even if things are getting resolved for you\, the tide has many around us caught up in big drama of one sort or another. \n  \nThe spirit quality of our world right now seems to want to further a sense of discord. Well\, it is an election year and the antics of division and drama seem to have become standard fare in the media. And as the year moves on I suspect this will only get worse! But we of the Craft of the Wise\, how can we best weather this Tide? \n  \nAs we approach the Solstice we come to that time of year where we may be challenged to find our truth and stand firm. It’s a test of Virtue\, Truth and Strength of Character. It’s a time to try a draw a line in the sand\, even with loved ones\, who also need to respect us and give us some consideration! \n  \nBut what are the tools we need to discern how best to move forward with confidence\, owning our power? Those are the tools that come together with our beloved Sekhmet. She is a Goddess of Power and Action\, a Warrior Goddess whom nothing can stand against. DESCRIPTION:  \nTraditional Witchcraft 201\nIt’s been two whole years since this Series was last Presented\, almost to the day! So much has evolved and grown through the work of these past two years. I am excited to get my teeth back into this level of advanced Traditional Witchcraft and see what new levels of insight we may access and what trouble we can get ourselves into! \nThis is a 9-week series\, starting Tues Feb 23th at 7:30 p.m. Rotating between classroom lectures and hands-on\, practical ritual experience\, every other week\, we will be taking the previous week’s lesson to the floor. This is a more experiential method approach that offers the student a deeper understanding of the material\, by taking it out of the realm of the theoretical and putting it into the realm of the practical. The objective to the Series is that the student claims insight into the material that enables true ownership and proficiency into Trad Craft of this level. \nI will be offering a structured system that works to support modern day Witches in practical application of and evolution of the Legacy they inheritably hold within their Witchblood! This is not a Wiccan Based system and an open mind to exploration into engaging Magic as foundational to the Craft is required! \nTo join this class you must have completed at least one of the previous Trad Craft 101 series. As this series builds upon the concepts already introduced in the 101 level work. TC 201 is not a series for beginners. \nConsidering this class is not often offered and we do have class size limitations\, it is advisable to reserve a space for this series before the class fills up!
