DESCRIPTION:“Seasons of the Witch” with Griffin\nStarting August 15th at 7:30 p.m. for nine weeks. \n$23; $3 discount for cash\, per class\,\n$138 for series if paid in full by first class\n(a $5 per class savings when paid in full; it brings the price to $15 per class)\nI wanted to call this Series\, Seasons and Tides of the Witch\, but Season of the Witch was just too damn catchy! I am really excited about this Series\, which I have not done before. \n  \nBasically for those who know my classes\, this is a combination of the Four Seasons classes I did a year back. Then I did one class each season to explore the underlying themes and mythos that permeated through a Season. We explored its many expressions and evolution through the Season\, the specific festivals and practices which helped further illuminate the Legacy being presented. Most of all\, we focused in particular on the Witches Legacy of Mysteries that laid in the roots of this material and how as Witchcraft practitioners today\, we could access and apply this material to our own path and evolution. \n  \nI have to admit I was not really aware of how deep this legacy went or how coherent it is\, until I did those Four Seasons classes. What it lent me was a truly coherent grasp on the workings as a whole within the whole season! The Mysteries and how they were still so pertinent was never made so clear as with these insightful classes. They ended up probably being my favorite classes of the year\, next to the Witch Blood Series! \n  \nSo with this upcoming Series\, how it’s evolved is this… I will be doing an over view orientation of the Year perspective on the first class. Then the following eight classes will be broken into four segments where we will spend two weeks on each Season. In addition to the Seasonal Material\, including Solar and Draconian Land Lore\, we will incorporate the Luna Tidal influences\, which is how we reign and ride the Draconian Powers to specific goals within our Witchcraft Rituals and Workings. \n  \nBasically we will be working the Draconian powers of the seasons in conjunction with the Luna forces to explore and lay out clear practical applications to workings. This will help better grasp how to translate the lore\, mythic legacy and forces of both the Sun and Moon\, working upon the Dragon Forces of the Earth\, into clear applicable and practical workings! \n  \nMaybe you can see why I am excited about this one! So with two weeks to each season and covering the various moon phases\, we have more than enough work to chew on. I am hoping to take the work onto the floor every other week\, as a way to practically represent various kinds of working approaches. \n  \nLimited Space Warning! The recent Series I have been doing have sold out and many who left it to the last week were not able to make the class. To be clear\, this is NOT a Halloween scare fest or a bump in the night funhouse-type event! This is a Vision Quest into broadening our understanding and hopefully improving our relationship with the most key spirit we all in one way or another will have to deal with\, regardless of what belief we may adhere to! This is a separate event to our Death Mysteries Workshop class on Sept 30th at 3pm\, but will be in a similar theme\, only in a direct Vision Quest encounter format. \n  \nAs Witches and followers of the mysteries and spirituality through personal encounters with Spirit\, we are often called upon in times of crisis to help make sense of the greater world of spirit and how we fit into a cosmos that incorporates many spiritual dimensions\, including the ancestral and spirit realms beyond the veil of Death. \n  \nMany Traditions\, Religions and spiritual practices were founded upon or around the Death Mysteries and the Death Event. But to a Traditional Witch the relationship with Spirit is foundational\, and our practices and cosmology reflect the importance of the comings and goings of spirit. Many of our practices in life relate to a larger picture of eternity that includes the other realms and underworld\, aka the Mound. \nThis class promises to address the subject from many contexts and to bring what we consider a vital part of the Witch Lore that every “Craft” practitioner should be in possession of! And at this time of year\, what better time to reflect on why Samhain is one of the most Hallowed and Important Witch Sabbats of the year! \nOur classes are candid and straight to the point\, with a goal to pass insight and understanding on subjects often skirted within the witching world of these times. The background and root of this class is from a British Traditional Craft\, (non Wiccan) perspective and approach\, pulling from a Witch’s Cosmology and practices as they pertain to the Death Realm and Legacy. \nWe shall be sharing personal insights and approaches to this subject of Death and Death Mysteries from personal experience as Witches\, spanning decades of experience. They ended up probably being my favorite classes of the year\, next to the Witch Blood Series! \n  \nSo with this upcoming Series\, how it’s evolved is this… I will be doing an over view orientation of the Year perspective on the first class. Then the following eight classes will be broken into four segments where we will spend two weeks on each Season. In addition to the Seasonal Material\, including Solar and Draconian Land Lore\, we will incorporate the Luna Tidal influences\, which is how we reign and ride the Draconian Powers to specific goals within our Witchcraft Rituals and Workings. \n  \nBasically we will be working the Draconian powers of the seasons in conjunction with the Luna forces to explore and lay out clear practical applications to workings. This will help better grasp how to translate the lore\, mythic legacy and forces of both the Sun and Moon\, working upon the Dragon Forces of the Earth\, into clear applicable and practical workings! \n  \nMaybe you can see why I am excited about this one! So with two weeks to each season and covering the various moon phases\, we have more than enough work to chew on. I am really excited about this Series\, which I have not done before. \n  \nBasically for those who know my classes\, this is a combination of the Four Seasons classes I did a year back. Then I did one class each season to explore the underlying themes and mythos that permeated through a Season. We explored its many expressions and evolution through the Season\, the specific festivals and practices which helped further illuminate the Legacy being presented. Most of all\, we focused in particular on the Witches Legacy of Mysteries that laid in the roots of this material and how as Witchcraft practitioners today\, we could access and apply this material to our own path and evolution. \n  \nI have to admit I was not really aware of how deep this legacy went or how coherent it is\, until I did those Four Seasons classes. What it lent me was a truly coherent grasp on the workings as a whole within the whole season! The Mysteries and how they were still so pertinent was never made so clear as with these insightful classes. They ended up probably being my favorite classes of the year\, next to the Witch Blood Series! \n  \nSo with this upcoming Series\, how it’s evolved is this… I will be doing an over view orientation of the Year perspective on the first class. Then the following eight classes will be broken into four segments where we will spend two weeks on each Season. In addition to the Seasonal Material\, including Solar and Draconian Land Lore\, we will incorporate the Luna Tidal influences\, which is how we reign and ride the Draconian Powers to specific goals within our Witchcraft Rituals and Workings. \n  \nBasically we will be working the Draconian powers of the seasons in conjunction with the Luna forces to explore and lay out clear practical applications to workings. This will help better grasp how to translate the lore\, mythic legacy and forces of both the Sun and Moon\, working upon the Dragon Forces of the Earth\, into clear applicable and practical workings! \n  \nMaybe you can see why I am excited about this one! So with two weeks to each season and covering the various moon phases\, we have more than enough work to chew on. This time of year is when we more often get the chance to spend some time by the Sea or even in it! So it’s a good time to shift our mundane awareness to that of a more spiritual nature and forge a deeper familiarity with one of the truly awesome Gods of Old! \n  \nThere are many Gods and Goddesses associated with the Sea or Ocean\, and though they each have their particular lore\, attributes and associations\, they all have a same primal deep feel that if you surrender to it\, will completely wash through you and consume you in a tangible sense of otherness. Nothing shifts you quite like the Sea and even spending a day on a beach next to it\, shifts you\, if you are open to that! \n  \nThe Ced Cards designated for the day\, for them that follow that\, is the Five of Staves\, a cardinal Sun card that depicts Gladiators fighting to the death for the sake of amusement\, decadence and nothing better to do! The Major Arcana in play is the Moon\, who brings change and transition or the illusion of such. The Moon is a trickster who can raise the hormones in the blood and bring about some real change if worked right. Or she can just stir the bloody pot to no other end than a major hangover the morning after! Cardinal Sun being worked by the Moon is just that combination of prime forces that can go any direction…. A feeling one feels when you lay in the arms of the Sea! \n  \nWith all the forces in play these days\, we better get good with playing those forces and shifting tides to a better result we desire and not leave it to the random currents of the under tide to dictate our Fate. But in the end\, the damn Faeries won out! Have they been busy of late or what? I talked to our resident Faerie Mistress\, Elysia\, and she agrees\, they have been most active and she wonders if the court will even close down its doors after Mid Summers this year! \nSo if you are feeling the presence of the other folks in your lives somehow? If things keep going off in strange directions\, getting lost or downright whacky\, then you may be in need of a tête-à-tête with the Faerie. \nElysia also made mention of some particular attention the Faerie were giving to Rosslyn Chapel these days. I find this most interesting as the Grail has been an ongoing theme all year this year and Rose Chapel of the Grail would be something to look into! What this has to do with the Faerie I have no idea\, but what better way to find out than one of our Vision Quests! \nLast month’s VQ with Bessie left us all completely trashed. It was probably one of the most powerful workings we have had in awhile\, it was one of the most powerful Vision Quests we have done to date! Left many experiencing major Ritual Hangover! DESCRIPTION:Traditional Witchcraft 201 with Griffin Starting March 28th  at 7:30 p.m. for nine weeks.  $23; $3 discount for cash\, per class\, $138 for series if paid in full by first class (a $5 per class savings when paid in full; it brings the price to $15 per class)  \nIt’s been more than a year since this Series was last presented.  Honestly it’s one of the hardest\, most demanding series I do.  And each time I do it\, due to the constant evolution of the work being done here weekly\, year after year\, these fundamental series change and evolve\, often quite drastically! \nAfter the Awakening the Witchblood series of last Winter\, where we went into completely new and potent areas of work\, it left quite a mark upon the Witchcraft 101 series\, we are presently working with.  I am both excited and a little afraid of where this coming 201 may take us!  But all in all\, it will be good to get my teeth back into this level of advanced Traditional Witchcraft and see what new levels of insight we may access and what trouble we can get ourselves into!  \nThis will be a 9-week series\, starting Tues March 28th at 7:30 p.m.  Rotating between classroom lectures and hands-on\, practical ritual experience on the floor.  This is a more experiential method approach that offers the student a deeper understanding of the material\, by taking it out of the realm of the theoretical and putting it into the realm of the practical.  The objective of the series is that the student claims insight into the material that enables true ownership and proficiency in Trad Craft of this level.   \n Many Trad Craft Subjects will be covered and worked with practically\, from Spellcrafting to Vision and Sight Work\, Ancestral Work\, Spirit Work of all types\, Soul Work and of course many expressions of the many Crossroads & Mill related works that much of the Legacy Work revolves about. \n Also during this series\, we will cover to greater depths the Quarters and Leylines associations as found within the Airts Compass System\, as well as covering the Cross Quarter Directions and Leyline Tracks of Power\, as they pertain to the Ancestral Legacy of the Ancient Arte of Witchery. \n The structured system offered works to support modern-day Witches in the practical application and evolution of the Legacy they inheritably hold within their Witchblood! This is not a Wiccan-based system and all students must be open minded to and able to deal with exploring Magic as foundational to the Craft! \n Class Requirements: To join this class you must have completed at least one of the previous Trad Craft 101 series\, as this series builds upon the concepts already introduced in the 101 level work.  TC 201 is not a series for beginners.  \n Limited Space Warning!  The recent 101 series was sold out and many who left it until the last week were not able to make the class.  There has been little drop off in the series and I fully expect many from this 101 series to roll over into the 201.  Plus\, there are a number of people from last year’s 101 who have been waiting for this round of 201.  So\, as this class is offered only once a year at best\, and as we do have class size limitations\, it is advisable to purchase the series ASAP\, in advance\, in order to secure a space for this series before the class fills up!   \n Call the Green Man at 818-985-2010.  \nPre-Paid Reservations will be taken on a first come\, first served basis.  \nThis is a packed and demanding series to present and so it will not be offered again for another year to 18 months!  \nSo those interested in this advanced Traditional Witchcraft series are advised to seize the opportunity this time around and make sure to call and reserve! \n Note* We start each week at 7:30 pm with open general discussion giving the first half hour so people running from work may make it to the class proper\, which starts at 8.00 pm.
