SUMMARY:Ced Tarot Rituals of the Witch’s Compass with Griffin & Carrie
DESCRIPTION:Ced Tarot Rituals of the Witch’s Compass HYBRID class series with Griffin & Carrie.\nFor the first time ever\, a series of how to prep and work practical rituals from the Ced Tarot. We will also look at the Rider Waite cards as a comparison or alternate. \nStarting Tuesday March 19th at 7:30 p.m. for nine weeks.\nThis Series will be HYBRID: in person\, and on Zoom\, but please read specifics. \nAbout the Series:\nThis will be a Practical Ritual Series that takes the cards of the Ced Tarot as a tool to create practical working rituals. The cards\, worked in a particular manner\, offer inspiration as well as a way to tap into the tides of Fate\, sometimes called the web of wyrd. This use of the Tarot lends itself as a powerful tool of ritual construction that helps us find the right kind of working for any given goal in synch with any particular date upcoming\, forging a tighter harmony with the tides of Fate. This is a very helpful tool that we in the Ced Tradition have used for many years to find and flesh out many inspiring & powerful timely workings. \nThis approach will also open a deeper\, more practical grasp of both the Ced Tarot Cards and why they are placed where they are upon the Witch’s Compass\, offering also a deeper insight also into the associations of compass directions themselves. The Witch’s Compass as worked within the Ced Tradition is a cosmological framework used by us and some Traditional Witches as an alternative to the Judaic Kabalistic Tree. \nThough this series is primarily focused on the Ced Tarot\, we will also look at the Rider Waite Deck as a comparison. And the system we will present is possible to work with other decks. \nPractical considerations for this series:\nThis material has not been presented before in this manner\, and so we felt that many far afield would also want what we are offering in this Series. However in the past we have found that using Zoom for practical classes presented on the Ritual Floor really doesn’t work in general. So the solution we are going to try is this: \nOne week will be in the classroom exploring the cards and ways to use them\, to find insight into how to structure and work a practical ritual from them as source. The next week would then be working the rituals on the floor for the group in person at the store\, and for the Zoom folks to do as solitary workings at home. So: one week in discussion and ritual planning\, one week in ritual on the floor. \nEach week we work in the classroom would start at 7pm and go until 8pm purely focused on the Zoom members\, discussing their recent workings and getting feedback. In person folks are welcome to join us\, but the sole focus for the first hour will be on Zoom members. \nThen we will continue the evening in the classroom discussing the cards and the working for the following week. In person people will have the opportunity to discuss the work on the ritual working nights. \nThe first class will be an orientation for all students on how to work the Tarot for tracking the tides in order to create rituals\, and general basic ritual construction elements as a foundation for the rest of the series. \nSo we have 8 weeks: four in the classroom and four ritual weeks\, plus the orientation class for everyone.\nFor people in person this makes it a 9 week series.\nFor people on Zoom it will be a 5 week series spread over 9 weeks. \nThose who purchase the full series will have access to class videos on line for a limited time. DESCRIPTION:  \n \nThis year’s event is on Saturday April 27th! Gates open 1:00 pm. \nCome join us with the Green Man Pagan Community Tribe for a good old-fashioned Beltane Rite! This celebration is not at the store\, but at our usual offsite Beltane location\, which is a most amazing magical location\, hidden in the outer reaches of faeriedom\, which as many know\, is adjacent to Van Nuys. \nNo charge for kids under 13. However\, a warning: It being Beltane & us being Pagans\, the theme of the festival may at times be a bit suggestive and adult; as long as you’re cool with that\, kids are most welcome & we expect there will be some present. \n***PARKING IS\, AS ALWAYS\, AN ISSUE. PLEASE CONSIDER CARPOOL\, UBER\, LYFT\, AND SIMILAR OPTIONS*** \nCome\, enjoy old world Pagan Pole dancing. Rub up against nature and a few frolicking nature lovers as we turn this year’s Wheel. And there can never be enough frolickers\, right? Come experience the singeing of your unspeakables as you jump the Beltane Fire! Beat the ground\, dance and make merry like a loon with bells on! Mischief\, mayhem\, what a pair\, a bawdy line twixt foul and fair! \nWe plan to start the festivities at around 1:30 pm with a drumming circle. So please bring a drum and join the jam fest. Or wear something sexy so you can entertain the drummers with a dance! \n \nThis is a picnic-type event so again this year we encourage folks to bring some picnic eats for themselves to enjoy.  Also\, feel free to bring something for sharing on the Drinks table! Note: if you plan on drinking\, please also plan on having your own food to soak up some of that booze\, even if you do believe it actually helps your coordination for the Maypole! We have tried it sober & buzzed\, but the Maypole Dance just seems to crash into mayhem every year regardless! \n \nThe Ritual will kick off somewhere in the neighborhood of 3.00pm. I say somewhere in the neighborhood as folks do have issue finding parking and so arrive late. And we are a large gathering\, so getting folks in just takes a bit more time! Plus\, festival leaders may be possessed by Faeries at this point\, so ballpark times is really the best we can hope for. \n \nThe Main Rite is expected to go about an hour\, give or take\, depending on how lost we all get. After Ritual we can continue with feasting & socializing…jumping the Bale Fires (Naked? Of course it’s far too dangerous with your clothes on. Kidding!). Or perhaps\, if you like\, we can get into some more drumming? \nAgain: remember people this is Los Angeles and it can get hot. Please bring refreshments you would like to drink. AND out of respect to us\, please abide by the Law: people need to be over 21 to drink alcohol!
