Mabon Ritual with Reclaiming L.A.
September 24, 2016 @ 7:30 pm - 10:30 pm
$10

Please join us to celebrate the AUTUMN EQUINOX – a time of balance and harvest. Also known as Mabon, this festival celebrates the halfway mark between summer & winter, when day and night are equal. We’ll celebrate the gifts of the earth and also accept that the soil is less productive. Warmth is behind us, cold lies ahead – even in Southern California! Among the Sabbats, Mabon is the second of the three Pagan harvest festivals, preceded by Lammas / Lughnasadh and followed by Samhain.

WHAT TO BRING
Please bring flowers for the altar!
Please bring food and drink to share for the post-ritual potluck.
Please bring your own reusable/washable plate, cup, utensils, and napkin.
We will be hosting a bardic pre-ritual gathering in the Green Man’s classroom area prior to the ritual. Please consider bringing a devotional/bardic offering to share with your fellow celebrants before the ritual – a song, a poem, a piece of art, instruments, drums, voices – in honor of the season and the turning of the Wheel. All are welcome to share!
To support those in recovery, this ritual is “clean and sober”.
Reclaiming LA is a community in the greater Los Angeles area who celebrate earth-based spirituality in support of justice in all its forms – environmental, social, political, racial, gender, and economic. Our vision is rooted in the religion and magic of the Goddess, the Immanent Life Force. Our work is about teaching and making magic: the art of empowering ourselves and each other; healing ourselves, each other, and the earth.
