1st Meeting of The Los Angeles Parliament of Pagans (LAPP)

I have founded the Los Angeles Parliament of Pagans (L.A.P.P.) as a California Non-Profit group to enable a coming together of Greater Los Angeles area Pagans for our mutual benefit and protection. This is not a group to dictate practice. It is a group to come together to serve our Pagan Community better, and to Outreach. To come together to discuss how we can better the lives of ALL PAGANS in the Greater Los Angeles area, and the World.
How can we use our strength in numbers to make sure that Pagans are not disenfranchised from our American, Civil, and Human Rights? If we do not stand up for our Rights, they will be taken away from us. The time of secrecy and hiding is over. Since there are so many differing kinds of Paganism, L.A.P.P. will be an Interfaith Group. I would like to ask local Pagans, Pagan Professionals and Pagan Leadership to join with us. We need willing minds from all professions to lend their voices and talents. I envision local Pagan Professionals participating in Legal, Medical, Veterinary, Tax and Accounting, and other clinics and workshops for the Pagan Community. We need to promote issues that concern us, and help others in trouble. We need more Pagan Clergy up on the stage when the Mayor makes a Big Interfaith Announcement.
We will need to register ourselves in some sort of membership structure and decide on some very loose bylaws as there are requirements for official status in California. I was thinking of a non-hierarchal ‘Talking Stick’ sort of speaking set up and creating committees of members interested in a specific issue(s) to work on them. Perhaps at some future point setting up a L.A.P.P. Charitable Foundation to administer Scholarships, Financial Aid, a Pagan Food Bank, etc. Any Pagans, interested in networking and finding our Power as a People United under basic common goals please join us at The Green Man on May 27, 2017 from 3 – 5 PM. Please bring a potluck item for the sharing table.
