In the American Southern Conjure Tradition, you have to claim “sovereignty of your spirit” to be able to conjure the forces of spirit and its “helpful spirits”. This process takes discipline and a commitment to the eternal aspect of “who you are” which we know as “your spirit”. Your spirit is the ROOT of YOU and this workshop is about root-doctoring.  In this workshop, Orion will discuss and share the elements of conjure that aid all who seek its wisdom in claiming the shape of their lives. He will share many intimate elements of the roots of southern conjure and its enduring wisdom and power. It would be useful for students to have a copy of his new book on conjure, as this will be used as a work book for both this and future classes at the Green Man.
