For Asatruar, the Yule season is a time when all worlds meet in the middle, coming together to survive the cold winter and prepare for a new spring rebirth. It is a time when we specially honor the dead, our ancestors, our fallen heroes, the Einherjer, the Oskorei, and all those gone before. We will be honoring our direct Ancestors in a Faining and Sumble. Participants are encouraged to bring a story about one of their ancestors to share in the ritual.

The Faining and Sumble will be led by Hauk Heimdallsman. Hauk is a member of Heimdalls Lur Kindred in Simi Valley, and has been a sworn Asatruar for more than a decade. He is renowned as a Heathen Musician, having performed at Heathen and Pagan gatherings all across America.

We gather on December 10th, 2011 at 7:30 pm for an 8:00 pm start time. It is customary to give an offering of $10.00 when attending – but no one will be turned away! Traditional Green Man potluck to follow; please bring a dish to share.
